The left footed centre back, who can also play at left back, has been left out of the club's two opening games of the current campaign but believes he will impress soonAFC Leopards defender Jonas Nahimana says he is working 'extra hard' in a bid to impress coach Tom Olaba.
The left footed centre back, who can also play at left back, has been left out of the club's two opening games of the current campaign, with Olaba preferring the central pairing of new signing Anthony 'Modo' Kimani and Erick 'PPO' Masika.
"It has been a new experience for me (to sit on the bench). But I take it positively as a wake up call, I am working extra hard and separately on sessions to ensure that I win back the confidence of my coach," the former DC Motema Pembe defender revealed to Goal.com.
"We still have got a lot of matches lined up for this season and my target is to just keep fit and avoid injuries. AFC Leopards is a big club with players of top quality and will appreciate if I make the starting eleven soon."
AFC Leopards are scheduled to face Karuturi Sports in Naivasha, in the club's next league assignment on Sunday.
