The Batoto ba Mungu coach David Ouma reveals to Goal.com that Danson Kago and Hillary Echesa are battling to be fit to face K'ogalo in a league tie on SaturdaySofapaka are battling to have Danson Kago and Hillary Echesa ready for Saturday's Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match against Gor Mahia at Kasarani.
Coach David Ouma said Kago who picked an injury during their season opener against Thika United on February 24 is yet to fully recover while veteran midfielder Echesa was injured when they played Ulinzi Stars last weekend and remains doubtful for the weekend fixture.
"We are waiting for the doctors report on the condition of the two players. They remain key to our plans and it will therefore, be important that they are fit for the match against Gor Mahia," he told Goal.com.
Ouma at the same said his players are highly motivated to take on Gor given the pedigree of their opponents.
"Gor are among the opponents you are just excited playing against and we expect this match to be no different."
Sofapaka square off with Gor Mahia in a rescheduled KPL fixture on Saturday. The match was supposed to be played on Wednesday but was postponed at the request of Gor who were in Seychelles for their continental match against Anse Re Union.
