The Naivasha-based side were one of the biggest losers after they went down 3-1 to newly promoted side Homeboys but coach Nam is confident they will bounce backKaruturi coach Michael Nam has said Sunday's defeat to new comers Kakamega Homeboys will act as a motivation for their up-coming fixtures.
Karuturi were one of the two biggest losers on Sunday after they went down 3-1 to newly promoted side Kakamega Homeboys.
Nam blamed his players for underrating their opponents and also pointed out carelessness in the defense.
"The defeat will give us another direction on how to improve on our future matches but one thing I admit is the fact that we committed careless mistakes in the defense and we also appeared to underrate our opponents," he told Goal.com.
During Sunday's match, Dennis Mukaisi scored a brace with Paul Odhiambo finishing the matrix for Homeboyz while substitute Andrew Murunga netted for Karuturi.
Homeboyz coach Fredrick Serenge praised his boys for the maiden victory and pointed out it was a sign of good things to come.
HomeBoyz FC owner Cleophas Shimanyula revealed he is not surprised by the winning start made by the team in the top flight league.
"The dream run continues. We have sustained a good run of results and its only imperative that we maintain the winning run. We won't be over ambitious by targeting a top five finish, I believe we invested well in the squad during the transfer period and all is set."
HomeBoyz are now joint top the KPL standings after the first round of games.
