Thika United welcomes back defender Dennis Odhiambo for Sofapaka contest
Odhiambo, has been missing for more than eight months after he picked an injury in the first leg last season but his availability is certain to give his side plenty of motivation
Thika United coach John Kamau has welcomed the availability of international defender Dennis Odhiambo ahead of Sunday's Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match against Sofapaka at City Stadium.Odhiambo has been missing for more than eight months after he picked an injury in the first leg last season but his availability is certain to give his side plenty of motivation.
"We are very excited to have Odhiambo back because he is a rock solid defender. He gives us many options at the back and his experience will be key as we tackle Sofapaka, a team that is full of experience, " he told Goal.com.
Kamau also expressed optimism that his young players will give him a lot more this season after he managed to maintain the bulk of his team that finished fifth last season.
"My players now understand me and can rise up to my demands as a coach. Last season, they gave me 55 percent of what I wanted from them and this time we are hoping they can increase their output because we have been together longer meaning we can only get better."
