The army men take on newcomers Bandari in the opener at the same venue and Ali believes winning at home will be a pointer of the team's intent to win the 2013 league title
Ulinzi Stars coach Salim Ali has pointed out that one of his biggest aims for the 2013 season is to ensure the team picks all points on offer on home soil.
Coach Ali says he wants to make Afraha Stadium - the homeground for the army men - a fortress that the team will use to strengthen their bid for the 2013 title.
“This is a priority, to ensure that we win all our home games. Most teams that succeed start by ensuring the home advantage is fully utilized and with this strategy we can place ourselves well to win the league," Ali told the club's official website.
Ali is upbeat that the team is ready to challenge for the title this season. “Definitely coming into this league with a team of Ulinzi’s strength and ability, we are aiming at the title."
"Of course, we move step by step but we have that goal in mind. We are focused on the start of the league and starting at home will give us an advantage."
Ali pointed out the defense as one of the areas that have greatly improved during the past few weeks of training. The 2010 champions take on newcomers Bandari in the opener at Afraha Stadium on Sunday.
