The match officials expected to oversee the preliminary round of the Caf Confederations Cup clash between Gor Mahia and Anse Re Union will arrive in Nairobi on Friday and reside at the Jacaranda Hotel in Westlands.
The three match officials are from Ethiopia while the match Commissar is a Ugandan. Haile Yesus Detete will be the centre referee, Belachew Gizaw (assistant referee), Tessema Bumlack (fourth official) while match commissar in Abass Ssenyoga.
Gor Mahia will be seeking to gain advantage by securing a lead over their opponents from the Indian Ocean island ahead of the second leg, scheduled to take place in Port Victoria on March 2, 2013.
Meanwhile, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has warned politicians intending to turn the venue of Saturday's Confederations Cup game into a campaign zone. A strong 20,000 crowd is expected at the Nyayo stadium and the federation insists that the Caf governing rules should be adhered to the later.
"Its not a request, its an order." revealed Kenya FA's media liaison officer John Kariuki during a terse media briefing held on Thursday.
"Politicians can come over and watch the match but spreading political paraphernalia or literature wont be allowed. Caf will be sending a security officer and we cannot risk a match ban for allowing that to happen."
