Kenya midfielder Collins 'Gattuso' Okoth is set for a prompt return to the Kenyan Premier League.

The box to box player, who's most recent workstation was at Sofapaka, has been seeking a club in Europe in the past few months, a attempt he claims has not been successful.

"I have been in Norway for the last two months, I have trained with some clubs in the third and second Division including FK Moss. But it's almost impossible to be signed by a team in Europe without an agent," the player told Goal.com.

Gattuso, who also turned out for top flight clubs Tusker and Gor Mahia, had developed a reputation as a 'bad influence' in the Kenyan league, a character tag he wants to clear.

"Some of the things that were written about me were not true. Besides, I made some mistakes that anyone would make. What I want from everyone when I return to Kenya, is to support me and offer me a fresh start. If I am accorded that, I will not disappoint."

Okoth is not eligible to participate in the first leg of the 2013 Kenyan Premier League season after failing to sign for a team within the stipulated transfer window period that elapsed on January 31, 2013.
