The Croat dismisses chairman Rachier's statement insisting he will not be forced to use the Brazilian and that the players' fate is done and dusted

Gor Mahia coach Zradvko Logarusic has laughed off statement by club Chairman Ambrose Rachier that he should reinstate Brazilian striker Giovani Rodriguez back to the squad for the 2013 season.

Logarusic revealed to Goal.com on Monday that no one can force him to use the player and insisted that he is already done with the Brazilian.

“As far as I am concerned, he does not exist in my plans anymore. That issue was done and dusted eight days ago when we gave our report to the technical committee of the club."

Logarusic said he is the coach of Gor Mahia and decides which players to use. “No one can order me to use a certain player because then I would not be the coach. They would have to take over handling this club if that is the case.”

“My duty is to look at the players and decide which ones deserve to play for Gor Mahia. My assessment of Rodriguez is that he cannot play for us this season.”

The club chairman on Monday revealed that club members had agreed during a Special General Meeting (SGM) held at City Stadium, to retain the Brazilian striker until the executive committee makes a decision on his fate.

“He (Rodriguez) is still here with us and remains in club's plans for the coming season. We have decided to give him more time to work on his fitness level. We have also advised the coach to organize for him to play a few matches with the rest of the squad so that we observe him," said Rachier.

Rodriguez's agent Bernard Opondo, also confirmed similar news. “Yes…the club has decided to give the player time to prove his worth. I thank the management for solving this issue in a very amicable way.”

The decision to overrule Rachier could smell trouble for Gor Mahia, who are preparing for the 2013 season.
