Kenya Premier League (KPL) side AFC Leopards has convened a Special General Meeting (SGM) in a bid to ratify changes to the club's constitution on January 26.
This move is likely to bring closer to reality the club members and supporters' wish of replacing the old constitution with a new set of laws.
The notice to convene a meeting of members for this purpose was put through by the club Secretary Winston Kitui in a signed statement exclusively seen by Goal.com.
"Notice is hereby given to all members of AFC Leopards SC pursuant to provisions of clause 8 (C) and clause 13 of the constitution that a Special General Meeting (SGM) of the club is convened for and shall take place in the Nyayo Stadium Gymnasium on Saturday (January 26, 2013) in order to amend provisions of the current constitution."
AFC Leopards has in the past been hard hit by persistent wrangles from members seeking leadership and this move is believed to be among the realistic ways of instilling order in the club's activities.
