Kenya and Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama: We are adequately prepared to tackle second leg campaign
The Scottish champions have just concluded a week long training camp in Spain as they capitalized on winter break to prepare for remaining leg
Kenya and Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama says his club is 'adequately prepared' for the second leg of the campaign. The Scottish champions have just concluded a week long training camp in Spain as the club capitalized on the winter break to prepare for the second leg of the league season which begins with the visit of old foes Hearts FC on Saturday.
Celtic are also competing for the Domestic Cup and have been drawn against Juventus in the second round of the Uefa Champions League with the first leg tie slated for mid February.
"The break was important for me and my teammates as we required the rest. The training camp in Malaga was also ideal as we all had a chance to work on some mistakes and plan for the crucial second leg. I have no doubts that just like the first leg, we will enjoy second leg and finish the season with trophies," Wanyama told Goal.com.
Celtic are favorites to retain the SPL title after opening up a nine point lead over nearest challengers Inverness CT at the halfway point of the league campaign.
