Harambee Stars stand in coach James Nandwa recalls Macdonald Mariga into squad to face Libya in friendly

Inter Milan midfielder Macdonald Mariga has been recalled to Harambee Stars squad to face Libya in a friendly match scheduled for Tunis, Tunisia, on February 6.Mariga, who last featured for Harambee Stars in October 2011, during Kenya's Afcon qualifier against rivals Uganda Cranes in Kampala, had earlier confirmed to Goal.com is availability for the friendly.
A source close to the Italian-based player confirmed that Mariga was willing to honour the fixture. "Mariga is available for selection. He loves Kenya and playing for Stars excites him. If he is procedurally invited, he will honor the call up."
Auxerre striker Dennis Oliech has also been drafted into the team alongside goalkeeper Arnold Origi (Lillestrøm, Norway), Brian Mandela (Sanlam Santos, South Africa), Ayub Timbe (Genk, Belgium) and Mariga's sibling Victor Wanyama of (Celtic, Scotland).
Libya is ranked 54 in the World, while Kenya is ranked 134. According to a communique from Libyan FA, the match will be played in neighboring country Tunisia, because World governing body Fifa does not authorize Libya to play at home for security reasons.
