The 2011 KPL fair player of the year, has been found guilty of training with another club while still under contract with the Thika-based milk menKenya Premier League (KPL) Thika United's skipper Vincent Nyaberi is facing a definite fine from the club, for alleged breach of contract.
Thika United confirmed on Monday that Nyaberi, who was named the 2011 KPL fair player of the year, has been found guilty of training with another club while still under contract 'which contravenes not only with his contract with Thika United but also KPL’s policies on football in the country.'
Thika United team manager George Maina said, “we have zero tolerance on players who breach our contracts, and we plan to slap him [Nyaberi] with a fine which will be a lesson to the rest of the team," he told the club's official website.
It has emerged that Nyaberi together with another Thika United trialist trained with a top tier side on Thursday 10th 2013, while Thika United had a day off from training.
"Am very disappointed by Nyaberi, he is a senior player and I expect better of him, his actions has led me to drop his accomplice from trying-out with us.”
"Vincent has been our captain on number of occasions in the field, and I hope he gets his mistake and rectifies that accordingly."
