thumbnail Hello,

The dread-locked ace was understood to have penned a one and half year deal with Oman side Salalah that could have kept him until June 2014

Gor Mahia’s play maker and midfield dynamo Moses ‘Dube’ Odhiambo could play for K’ogalo in the 2013 season after it emerged that his move to play professional in Oman had flopped.

The dread-locked ace was understood to have penned a one and half year renewable deal with Oman side Salalah FC that could have kept him at the Gulf until June 2014.

But a source who sought anonymity, revealed to Goal.com that Odhiambo’s deal had stalled and was back in the country to re-join Gor Mahia. “Odhiambo will be a Gor Mahia player in the 2013 season because nothing has happened in regards to his transfer to Oman.”

Gor Mahia Secretary General George Bwana insisted on Sunday that Odhiambo was still contracted to the club and “we know nothing about his intended transfer to Oman.”

“We are not aware that Odhiambo has moved to Oman and as Gor Mahia no club from the Gulf has approached us for his release. I just read his rumored transfer in the press and as far as we are concerned...Odhiambo is in our plans for the 2013 campaign.”

A veteran player, he deputized for club skipper Jerim Onyango last season and his versatility to play on the flanks as well as attack made him become one of the ‘untouchables’ in coach Zdravko Logarusic’s squad.

Striker Rama Salim, who had trials in UAE and Finland, has also returned to boost the team after failing to impress.

This could be a big boost to Gor Mahia who after months of speculations welcomed back coach Logarusic on Sunday ahead of season kick-off.

Logarusic, who was on holiday, is set to hold first training session with the playing unit on Monday at City Stadium. The Croat's return, puts to an end speculations surrounding his future with Bwana assuring Gor Mahia fraternity that Logarusic was in the club to stay.

“I always told people that Logarusic belongs to Gor Mahia and they pretended to know the club more than we (officials) do. Logarusic loves this club and we are hopefully going to discuss his contract situation and tie him up to Gor Mahia before the 2013 season gets underway.”
