Coach Bye Wadda excited to have signed Odhiambo - who previously had unsuccessful professional stints in the Danish and Tanzania leagues

Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Nairobi City Stars coach Bye Wadda says the arrival of former KPL player of the year George 'Blackberry' Odhiambo will make the team more competitive.

Odhiambo - who previously had unsuccessful professional stints in the Danish and Tanzania leagues - is scheduled to make a short term return to the local league in a bid to regain fitness as his agent tries to secure him a move back to Europe.

"This is a stable club and the playing squad is much more talented than I thought. The capture of 'Blackberry' will improve our performances. My target for the 2013 season is to finish in the top half of the league standings," Wadda told Goal.com.

City Stars who were formerly known as World Hope, have constantly flirted with relegation since gaining promotion to the five seasons ago. Wadda, a Gambian national, is hoping to improve on the team performances by bolstering his squad with seven players.
