Gor Mahia confirm foreign signings expected in camp ahead of 2013 season
Club secretary George Bwana reveals to Goal.com that Ugandan Israel Emuge and Brazilian Giovanni Rodriguez will arrive in Kenya by Saturday
Gor Mahia’s foreign acquisitions Brazilian attacking midfielder Giovanni Rodriguez and Ugandan centre half Israel Emuge are expected in the country latest Saturday to finalize their moves.Club secretary general George Bwana revealed to Goal.com that Emuge is expected to be at the team’s training base on Friday. Once he jets in, the Ugandan national is expected to undergo medical test after which he will pen a two year deal.
Giovanni who's arrival has been twice delayed due to lack of Yellow Fever Vaccine, is expected on Saturday. "We are expecting to have the two by Saturday. Emuge (Israel) should be here by tomorrow (Friday) while Giovanni (Rodriguez) by Saturday."
Gionvanni was expected to land in the country last weekend but he had to reschedule his flight after he was stopped from jetting out of the Rio di Janeiro airport due to lack of international Yellow Fever certificate.
The duo are expected to add punch in K’ogalo’s 2013 quest for silverware and will battle with the current squad for starting positions. Head coach Zdravko Logarusic is also expected by Sunday and could assess his new recruits on Monday morning at the club's training ground–the City stadium.
