K'ogalo deputy Secretary Ronald Ngala revealed it was prudent that Ogweno steps down from his role after falling out with coach Zdravko Logarusic
Gor Mahia deputy Secretary Ronald Ngala confirmed the development saying that it was prudent Ogweno steps down from his role after falling out with coach Zdravko Logarusic.
"He (Ogweno) fell out with the coach. It was prudent that he reconciles with the coach, if they can't make up, then one of them had to go and in this case we have been forced to relieve him of duties with immediate effect," Ngala told Goal.com.
Ngala added that Logarusic will have a free hand in picking Ogweno’s successor when he rejoins the team.
Ogweno who previously worked at KPL side City Stars in the same capacity, is said to have fallen out with Logarusic ahead of the final match of the previous league campaign against Thika United.
A credible source revealed to Goal.com that Ogweno defied instructions of the team's nutritionist, who had recommended that players have a light meal ahead of the decisive match that was played at City Stadium.
Gor Mahia drew the match 1-1 and lost out on the top spot to Tusker who defeated Nairobi City Stars 3-0 in another title deciding duel that was played concurrently.
