The power men's chairman Laban Jobita reveals to Goal.com that they are in negotiations with the management to have Kisumu for home duels
The mid-table side that is bankrolled by the Kenya Power and Lighting Company, has for the past two seasons primarily used the 5,000 seater Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega as the venue for home matches.
This development was confirmed to Goal.com by the power men's chairman Laban Jobita.
"I have engaged the administrators of the Kisumu Stadium and they have agreed to host us when they finish ongoing renovation process."
"You know our sponsor is from Kisumu and this development will make everybody happy. I believe just like AFC Leopards have some of their matches in Nairobi and Mumias, Western Stima will, likewise, try to appease club supporters by shifting matches to Kisumu."
However, Goal.com has reliably established that the relocation by the side that finished ninth during last year's league season, could be due to promotion of another team Kakamega HomeBoyz to the top flight. A source indicated that Homeboyz who also use the Bukhungu Stadium, enjoy more support than Stima in Western Kenya.
