thumbnail Hello,

The dread-locked player is understood to have signed a one and half year renewable deal which should keep him at the Gulf until June 2014

Gor Mahia’s play maker and midfield dynamo Moses ‘Luckydube’ Odhiambo has joined the paid ranks penning a deal with Oman side Salalah FC.

Odhiambo is understood to have signed a one and half year renewable deal which should keep him at the Gulf until June 2014. When contacted, club deputy secretary general Ronald Ngala could not confirm nor deny the reports.

“I have heard the news in some quarters and I cannot comprehensively talk on the issue as at now, but I know he (Odhiambo) is in Oman.”

However, a teammate close to the dread-locked player confided to Goal.com that Odhiambo had indeed inked a deal with Salalah FC. Odhiambo has been one of the most important players' in Gor Mahia's playing unit.

A veteran player, he deputized for club skipper Jerim Onyango last season and his versatility to play on the flanks as well as attack made him become one of the ‘untouchables’ in coach Zdravko Logarusic’s squad.

In his absence, K’ogalo will miss a free-kick specialist, creativity and his high work rate in midfield. Prior to joining K’ogalo he turned out for Rwandese side APR.

Salalah was formerly Al Hilal and in the 2008-2009 season of the Omani league they were on the brink of being promoted to the first division but came in short losing to city rivals Al Nasr, where another Kenyan Jamal Mohammed plays for currently.
