"Our preparations for the upcoming season are well on course. We are not even thinking about Christmas (break). This squad includes a host of new faces and its imperative we try incorporate them," Matano told

"I am happy for the win against Yanga, remember they are the Cecafa champions. This exposure is vital."

Newly signed striker Ishmael Dunga, netted the all important goal for the visitors from the penalty spot after side footing custodian Ally 'Barthez' Mustapha on the stroke of halftime.

The spot-kick was awarded by match referee Charles Oden Mbaga after Yanga defender Nurdin Bakari had brought down another of the brewers new recruit Khalid Aucho in the danger area.

The Kenyan team now have a three day rest period before their last workout in Tanzania against defending league champions Simba SC on December 29. Matano's charges will thereafter, cross over to Zanzibar where they are primed to compete in the annual eight team Mapinduzi Cup tournament.
