Kenya assistant coach James Nandwa has beefed up Harambee Stars squad by recalling Tusker FC midfielder Peter Opiyo and Enock Agwanda of Sony Sugar for the return leg match of Chan qualifier against Burundi on January 5 in Nairobi.

Also drafted into the team is Tusker's new acquisition Ismael Dunga. Nandwa confirmed to that he wants more striking options hence the decision to recall Dunga and Agwanda.

Kenya needs at least a 2-0 win over the Swallows to reach the next round since they had lost 1-0 in the first leg match played in Bujumbura.

Nandwa had already made changes into the squad after the team returned home from Bujumbura, bringing in four players, who helped the team reach the Cecafa Cup final in Kampala, Uganda, three weeks ago.

The four include AFC Leopards striker Mike Baraza, Gor Mahia defender David Owino, midfielders Paul Were and Kevin 'Ade' Omondi (Gor Mahia). Nandwa is still optimistic that Kenya will make it to the next round.
