Saleh, who beat a pool of other candidates for the job, effectively replaces Henry Omino who fell out with the club after a tussle regarding contract

After weeks of speculation, Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Western Stima has finally settled on former KCB man Leonard Saleh as its new head coach.

Saleh effectively replaces Henry Omino who fell out with the club, after the club’s hierarchy allegedly declined to renew his contract.

While confirming the developments Saleh said that he had anticipated taking charge at the club after being short listed for the job.

“I did an interview with them last week and it is no surprise they have settled for me. I strongly believe that I have what it takes to steer the team to the next level,” Saleh told Goal.com.

Saleh beat a pool of other candidates that included former AFC Leopards coach Jan Koops . Saleh coached KCB in 2011 before he was fired. He later joined Nationwide Agro Chemicals.
