The former Tusker and Oserian FC tactician inks a two year deal with the sugar millers to replace Zedekiah Otieno who walked out on the clubFormer Tusker and Oserian FC coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo has officially joined Sony Sugar on a two year contract.
‘Pamzo’ confirmed the development to Goal.com. “I am glad to return to top flight. Sony are an ambitious club that seeks to perform well and these are the working conditions I prefer.”
“My focus is to get the players in the right frame of mind ahead of the pre- season.”
When reached for comment club chairman Charles Odero confirmed the appointment. “We have settled on Omollo, that is all I can say for now.”
The sugar milers finished eleventh in the 2012 KPL season with 38 points. Omollo replaces Zedekiah "Zico" who walked out on the club to allegedly enter politics.
The former Kenyan international won the league title with Tusker two seasons ago but was relieved of his duties by the Ruaraka-based outfit mid way through the last campaign following a lackluster campaign both on the local and continental scene.
