After months of speculations regarding his future, Omino confirms to Goal.com that he has quit the power men and could join Sony next season
Omino told Goal.com that he had decided to ‘let go’ of his job as it has emerged that the club no longer needs his services.
"I can say in confidence that I have left the job. Things cannot continue this way. We have been planning to have meeting after meetings with the club chairman but he never honours the agreement."
"I think it is time to move forward and can only wish the team all the best in the coming season."
Omino was scheduled to hold talks with Chairman Laban Jobita last week, but it never materialized.
The power men finished in position nine in the ended season with 40 points something that did not go down well with the club hierarchy who had hoped for a top 8 finish.
Omino said that he is open to talks to potential employers saying that Sony Sugar had already made contacts.
"I talked with them (Sony Sugar) last week, but nothing much has happened. Should they hire me, I will be ready for the task."
Sony Sugar job fell vacant on Wednesday after immediate former coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno was axed. Former AFC Leopards coach Jan Koops is heavily tipped to land the job.
