The FA boss says the national office will not accept outcomes from the purported South Coast branch mini-league
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) will not endorse the winners of the purported South Coast branch mini-league since the branch failed to complete their provincial league due to wrangles.
Kenya FA President Sam Nyamweya said in a signed statement that the planned mini-league will be a waste of time since “the branch knows very well that the provincial league stalled, so the criteria to nominate the teams to play in the mini league is a flawed process.”
“As a federation we have to protect the clubs from acts of cheating and therefore, inform the branch officials that the intended mini-league is of no purpose,” the statement read in part.
“The clubs are therefore, advised not to take part or pay any participation fee for the said league and await a decision from the national office and we shall not accept nomination of any team taking part in the league to join the national Division one league.”
Nyamweya also urged all other Fkf branches to ensure that they organize and conclude their mini leagues in good time. The Fkf branches are organizing their mini-leagues where the winning team will be promoted to the national Division One league.
