The win saw Taifa Stars qualify for the quarter-finals as Group B runners-up on six points. Burundi also sails to the quarters as leaders after beating Sudan 1-0 in another Group B match played at the Wankulukuku stadium.
Burundi finished on nine points after winning all their matches.
