AFC Leopards winger asks Kenyans to pardon them for breaking camp rules that led to their expulsion from Stars camp in Kampala, Uganda

Harambee Stars’ youngsters Paul Were of AFC Leopards and Kevin ‘Adebayor’ Omondi have apologized to Kenyans for the actions that led to their suspension from the national team currently competing at the Cecafa Tusker Cup in Kampala, Uganda.

“We would like to apologize to Kenyans for letting them down by our actions and would like them to pardon us. It was just a moment of craze and we regret it dearly."

"We love our country and we would always be happy to play for the national team,” said speedy winger Were, who spoke with tears flowing freely.
Team coach James Nandwa sent home the two players for gross misconduct. The duo, will be boarding the Thursday 10am flight to Nairobi after what the coach described as 'unbecoming behavior from players representing a country.'

“We have discussed the issue with the technical bench and local football administrators and decided the best thing is to send the players back home. We cannot entertain bad behaviors in a national team camp,” said Nandwa.
