The 'Lion' has been in Kampala for the past few days and is believed to have already met with the 22 year-old left footed striker at a Kampala hotel
Tusker FC coach Robert Matano is set to meet officials from Ugandan top flight club SC Villa in a bid to discuss the potential transfer of striker Arthur Semmazi.
Matano has been in Kampala for the past few days and is believed to have already met with the 22 year-old left footed striker at a Kampala hotel, ahead of the meeting with officials of the Villa Park-based club.
Semmazi who previously played alongside Gor Mahia forward Dan Sserunkuma at Victors FC exclusively confirmed the development to Goal.com.
"I met the coach (Matano) on Monday, I also hear that he has been speaking to people, including the (Pay TV Channel) Supersport crew about my performance."
"The coach is set to meet my club officials today (Tuesday) and am hoping all goes well, its possible that the club could request up to USD 10,000 (Kshs 800,000) for my release.”
“I really want to play for Tusker FC, they are a good club and Kenyan Premier League champions for a second season.”
Matano who turned around the fortunes of the Ruaraka-based team after taking over from Sammy 'Pumzo' Omollo midway through the just concluded season, is keen to bolster the playing unit ahead of a second consecutive appearance in the African Champions League.
Tusker FC were eliminated at the preliminary stages of the competition last term after succumbing to a 1-0 score line to Rwandan side Patriotic Army (APR FC).
It also emerged on Tuesday that Gor Mahia midfielder Kevin “Master” Ochieng’ is set to complete his move to the league champions.
The move will end five months of agony at K’ogallo for the former Harambee Stars player, where he only played two matches after joining from Rangers.
