Days after masterminding the sacking of Dutch coach Jan Koops and his technical team, Ingwe chairman now ready to throw in the towel
The besieged boss revealed to Goal.com on Monday that he has had enough and was not ready to fight over leadership of the club anymore since ‘I have no more energy left.”
Magelo was reacting to the behind the scenes tussles which reached boiling point over the weekend after secretary general Winstone Kituyi convened a meeting behind his back and an idea was mooted to topple him by passing a vote of ‘no confidence.'
Magelo said that he was aware that Kituyi has been scheming to oust him from his position. “If they feel I am the problem at AFC Leopards…I am ready to go."
"I will quit. I have done a lot for this club and if they cannot appreciate it then I rather quit."
“I cannot fight any more because of AFC Leopards. The energies are gone. I have called for a meeting today (Monday) after which I will see what transpires and make up my decision.”
“If they do not want me…I will call for an Annual general meeting (AGM) so that they can pick a new chairman.”
