Kenya FA has refuted reports that the federation is riddled with wrangles almost twelve months since taking over the running of the federation.
Kenya FA President Sam Nyamweya was reacting to Assistant Sports Minister Kabando wa Kabando’s statement that ‘the federation should shun wrangles as this is likely to derail gains made in uplifting the standards of the sport.”
“The federation would like to note that the statement by the assistant minister is ill advised and not appropriate, because the sport has had a milestone during the 12 months we have been in office with sound youth structures and women leagues from grassroots to the national level,” Nyamweya said in a statement.
“As far as we are concerned, lack of wrangles and close working relationship with our stake holders has contributed to the development of the sport and one of the clear testimonies is the return of fans to stadia in droves.”
“We are happy with the close working relationship with the Minister of Sports Ababu Namwamba who has shown great support and is keen to ensuring that we raise the level of the sport.”
