Gor striker Sserunkuma racing against time to be fit for Sofapaka showdown

Gor Mahia lethal striker Dan Sserunkuma will undergo late medical tests on Monday to ascertain whether he will be fit to face Sofapaka in the final of the FKF Cup at Nyayo Stadium on Tuesday (kick-off time 7pm).
The dreadlocked Ugandan import picked up a knee injury on Saturday during the semi-final clash against rivals AFC Leopards and had to be pulled out in the first half as a precaution measurer.
“I cannot really tell whether I will be available for the final against Sofapaka. I have tests on Monday and that is when I will ascertain my fate,” Sserunkuma, who bagged 17 goals in the 2012 Kenya Premier League (KPL) season, told Goal.com.
Club secretary general George Bwana also confirmed that the technical bench will be awaiting the report from the medical team on whether the hit man will be available.
Gor Mahia will be seeking to defend the domestic trophy they won last season when they confront Sofapaka in a repeat of the 2011 final which the former won 1-0.
