Kenya FA South Coast branch now passes vote of no confidence on Hussein Terry
Branch secretary Evans Mwachia claims they have passed a vote of no confidence on the official and have warned clubs to keep off his affairs
In what can be viewed as a retaliatory move, Football Kenya Federation South Coast Branch has purportedly passed a vote of no confidence on embattled National Committee Member Hussein Terry. This decision comes days after the Kenya FA through President Sam Nyamweya confirmed suspensions of the branch's chairman Hamisi Mwayoyo and women representatives Asha Pili with immediate effect.
Mwayoyo was replaced by Mohammed Nyonyo, who was elevated from branch vice-chairman to act as chairman while Teresia Wakeso was picked a Pili’s replacement.
A statement signed by South Coast Branch secretary Evan Mwachia warned clubs and sub-branch officials against associating themselves with Terry.
“In line with the resolutions passed by this branch, to pass a vote of no confidence on (Terry) representing Coast Province, we are duty bound in accordance to the constitution to advise the clubs and sub branches to desist from engaging in any football activity with the aforementioned person.”
The sub-branch also swiftly moved to suspend Nyonyo for allegedly betraying fellow officials by attending meetings “which to the best of his knowledge are convened unconstitutionally.”
Efforts by Goal.com Kenya to reach Terry or Nyamweya for comment proved futile.
