A meeting attended by K'ogalo and Ingwe officials and chaired by FA boss Nyamweya resorted to have the tie played on Saturday and not Sunday
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) have rescheduled the eagerly awaited Gor Mahia v AFC Leopards FKF Cup derby from Sunday to Saturday.
A meeting attended by Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards officials and chaired by Kenya FA President Sam Nyamweya resorted to have the match played on Saturday at Kasarani.
“We have unanimously agreed that the Gor Mahia v AFC Leopards match will be played on Saturday and not Sunday as earlier planned,” Nyamweya told Goal.com after the meeting.
“We want to give traveling fans from both clubs adequate time to return home and prepare to return to work on Monday hence the decision," added Nyamweya, who also assured of tight security during the match.
The other semi-final pitting Sofapaka and newly crowned Kenya league champions Tusker FC, will now be played on Sunday at City Stadium.
