The Harambee Stars will be in Group "A" of the regional tournament alongside debutants South Sudan, Uganda and Ethiopia.

Kenya will launch their campaign for the Council of East and Central Africa (Cecafa) Senior Challenge trophy against hosts and rivals Uganda Cranes on November 24.

According to the draw conducted on Sunday night in Kampala, Uganda by Cecafa secretary Nicholas Musonye, Kenya will be in Group "A" alongside debutantes South Sudan, Uganda and Ethiopia.

Group "B" incorporates Sudan, Tanzania, Somalia and Burundi while Group "C" comprises Malawi, Rwanda, Zanzibar and Eritrea.

The tournament will kick-off on November 24 at Namboole Stadium in Kampala with Kenya taking on Uganda Cranes in the second match of the day.

Both Ethiopia and Uganda have defeated Kenya during the last two tournaments, while the Harambee Stars also lost out to Sudan (before the emergence of South Sudan) during the last edition.

Ethiopia, who will represent the East African region at the Afcon 2013, will play the opening match against South Sudan. Malawi have been incorporated into the tournament as guest team.

Meanwhile, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has yet to announce the squad for the tournament, amidst reports that a second string side handled by James Nandwa will be sent to Kampala as the first team prepares for the Chan qualifiers.
