Tukser FC coach Robert Matano is banking on Thika United to beat Gor Mahia to boost their chances of retaining the Kenya Premier League (KPL) title.
The brewers currently lie second on the league standings, a point behind leaders Gor Mahia, with only match remaining to conclude the league.
Tusker will face City Stars while Gor will battle Thika United in the last round of fixtures, and Matano - who has previously won the league while in charge of Sofapaka FC, says that Gor's opponents on Saturday could play a vital role in the league trophy's destination.
"I am not used to relying on favors, unfortunately it has come to that. Thika are a very youthful and strong side, who preserve their best for the big guns (teams). I hope they play to their full potential against Gor Mahia," Matano told Goal.com.
Matano says he is confident that his players will accomplish their part of the bargain. "I know, its irrelevant how Gor perform if we don't beat City Stars, but that has already been taken care of. We will be at our best and scoop maximum points."
