Ingwe coach Jan Koops cites the good atmosphere in Mumias as the main reason behind the venue change from Nyayo Stadium
The potential make or break match pitting league title chasers AFC Leopards versus Ulinzi Stars will now be played at the Mumias Sports Complex on Saturday and not the Nyayo Stadium as initially scheduled.
Leopards who will be the home team have opted to play the match at the tranquil grounds as the race for to the league title heads down to the wire.
Leopards head coach Jan Koops said that his boys will be under no pressure playing away in Mumias citing the good atmosphere as the reason behind the venue change.
“Yes it is true…the match will be played in Mumias and not Nyayo as earlier planned. You well know that Mumias is our second homeground,” Koops told Goal.com Kenya.
Leopards are currently third on the standing with 48 points, three shy of defending champions and leaders Tusker FC and a point adrift of second placed Gor Mahia.
Ulinzi stars are fourth with 43 points and a win would take their points tally to 46. All teams have four matches left before the season ends on November 10.
