Defending champions Celtic FC jumped to the top of the SPL after securing a hard fought 1-0 win over Hearts FC in an entertaining match played at Celtic Park on Sunday.
Former Manchester City striker Girgios Samaras scored the all important goal just after the hour mark.
Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama started in the match and featured the entire 90 minutes.
The result was Celtic's fifth consecutive victory and sees Neil Lennon's side assume a two point lead on the table standings having played a game less than their nearest challengers Hibernian.
Wanyama had an unusually quiet game against fellow title challengers in a match that saw Celtic don their new all white strip.
After this game, the SPL League will now take a fortnight's break with Wanyama expected back home to feature in an International friendly against South Africa. The next League match for the Bhoys will be away to St Mirren on the 20th of October.
