Israel based midfielder vows to cement his place in Harambee Stars squad after earning a late call up as replacement for injured Macdonald MarigaIsrael based Kenya midfielder Patrick "Armando" Osiako has confirmed his availability for Harambee Stars friendly match against South Africa scheduled for Nairobi on October 16.
Speaking exclusively to Goal.com Kenya, Osiako, who has been in and out of the national fold for the past half a decade was elated by the call up.
"I am obviously very happy. I've checked through the squad and their is a couple of good midfielders, so competition is very high. Everybody will be looking to impress the coach and as he (Henri Michel) is a high profile tactician, I believe discipline will be maintained," said Osiako, who plies his trades with Israel side Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
Osiako was called up as a replacement for Macdonald Mariga who pulled out of the squad for the match due to injury.
Other professionals named for the friendly match that will be played under flood lights at Nyayo Stadium are Victor Wanyama (Scotland), Captain Dennis Oliech (France), Christian Bwamy (Norway), Ayub Timbe (Belgium) and Jerry Santos (Tanzania).
