Gor Mahia head coach Zdravko Logarusic says he is optimistic of his team’s chances of bagging the 2012 Tusker premier league title after registering a 2-1 victory over Rangers FC on Wednesday night.
Logarusic who was elated after the win made a dash to the team’s changing room to congratulate his players.
The 50 year-old Croat tactician, also took to his face book page where he said that he is sensing victory for his side but warned that they will take one game at a time.
“One game at a time people, I have a feeling this trophy tend to like Gor Mahia than any other team. The far we have come, we undoubtedly deserve it,” read the post.
Rangers gave Gor a hard time with the league’s dark horses pulling a goal through former Gor’s skipper Julius ‘Awilo’ Owino. However, Owino’s strike was sandwiched by a Victor Ali Abondo’s low hard drive and a Rama Salim neat finish to guarantee K’ogalo maximum points.
Logarusic added that the team will fight until the end to realize their dreams. “We have come from far and we are close to it but the battle continues.’’
Gor’s next league match will be a home tie against Karuturi Sports on October 23.
