The Croatian hits out at the title sponsors labeling them 'smart business people' and says his stay at the club next season will depend on better payment
Gor Mahia’s coach Zdravko Logarusic has said that the club needs to secure serious sponsors if they are to remain a formidable side in the Kenya league and the continent.
In an interview with Goal.com, the master tactician said that his position at K’ogalo was untenable next season as the club’s officials sponsors Tuzo are unwilling to commit to pay the fat monthly wages that he is demanding.
“You are asking me whether I will be at Gor next season. I don’t see it happening because Tuzo are not serious sponsors. They have refused to commit and I see no chance of being with the club next season.”
“I would have loved to remain with the club but it seems there is no otherwise. I think Gor is a big club and for them to move forward and achieve their aspirations they must get serious sponsors to help them realize this dream. Tuzo are just smart business people.”
Since joining K’ogalo in April, the 50 year old former Ashanti Gold coach has transformed the club to not only title contenders, but also changed the team’s style of play.
Under his watch, the team has bagged the Top 8 trophy and also gone 14 matches unbeaten in the league. The club is currently in position two on the log with 46 points, two behind leaders Tusker FC.
