Tusker end Gor Mahia's one day stay at the summit of the premiership as goals from Kenneth Wendo and David Nyanzi takes them back to the top

League defending champions Tusker roared to the summit of the league with a hugely deserved 2-0 away win over Karuturi Sports in Naivasha on Sunday.

Kenneth Wendo and Davin Nyanzi struck in the 8th and 55th minute respectively to fire the team to glory. As a result of the win the brewers' leap-frogged Gor Mahia from the top spot moving to 48 points. Gor are now second with 46 points while AFC Leopards are third on 45 points.

The brewers, who are now crawling back to winning ways, dominated proceedings from the blow of the first whistle to the end. This win comes in the wake of another 2-0 win over KCB in their last match.

In another match played in the flower producing town, Ulinzi Stars jumped to position four on the log pushing Thika United to position five after beating Oserian 2-0. Navy Corporal Evans Amuoka was in fine form firing his side to glory with a brace. He struck in the 16th and 50th minute to hand the soldiers a major boost.

For Sammy Omollo, it was a big disappointment as the relegation threats now looms large. The flower boys still remain rooted at position 15 with 20 points.

In Awendo, Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno’s Sony Sugar side handed title chasing Thika United a bitter dose hitting them 3-0.

Striker’s s Ismael Dunga and former Gor Mahia boys Francis Ocholla and John Kiplagat were all on target.

Sony will however have to thank their teenage sensation Enock Agwanda for orchestrating the goals. Agwanda was in fine form in the afternoon with jinxing runs that proved too much for his markers. He set up all the three goals to ensure that the Thika based side left empty handed.

In another league match, debutants Muhoroni Youth enhanced their survival chances with a 3-0 demolition of out of form Nairobi City Stars. Natty Kunrunmi goal and a Collins Neto brace   were enough to seal the victory.
