46 percent of the participants seem certain that Gor Mahia's form will carry the day while 26 percent disagree and 18 percent are undecided
A majority of the Goal.com Kenya readers believe that Gor Mahia will reign during the highly anticipated derby against AFC Leopards on Saturday.
The two sides - the most popular and successful clubs in Kenyan football-will lock horns during the Kenyan Premier League's 25th round of fixtures in an encounter analysts predict could be the most exciting and crucial duel between them for the last decade.
AFC Leopards are joint top of the Kenyan Premier League standings having amassed 45 points from 24 outings. A win will see Jan Koops charges extend their point advantage off their rivals to five with only four points remaining.
At the same time a win for Gor Mahia will ensure the Zdravko Logarusic's 'machine' leap frog their sworn enemies on the league table for the first time this season, with a one point advantage.
With these permutations and emotional attachments to consider, the poll participants are almost split down the middle on the outcome of the duel. 46 percent of the participants seem certain that 'Kogalo's form will carry the day on Saturday.
Logarusic's side carry a 14 match unbeaten streak into this tie, with the extra bonus of having already clinched the Top Eight title at the expense of seasoned side Ulinzi Stars.
On the contrast, 26 percent of the participants disagree. They in turn believe that the home side will shake off the recent poor form that has seen them win once in their previous four competitive encounters.
At the same time 18 percent of the participants are undecided, while a paltry 8 percent believe the encounter will end in a stalemate as was the case when the two teams met in the first leg of the league four months ago.
