Gor Mahia deputy secretary Ronald Ngala reveals that a meeting has been scheduled to discuss the coach's contract and a possible extension
Gor Mahia FC will extend the contract of Croat coach Zdravko Logarusic when the current deal expires at the end of the season, a club official has revealed.
The Croat who took over the side when it was nearly at the basement of the log, has massively transformed it's fortune to title contenders and this has been sweet music to the ears of club officials.
Gor Mahia deputy Secretary General Ronald Ngala said that they are ready to offer the master tactician a new contract at the end of the season.
“We are delighted with his performance and especially how he has transformed the team to a winning outfit. We are looking at several options but our effort is to have him stay in the club for longer. We have already scheduled a meeting to discuss the same and hopefully he will stay,” Ngala told Goal.com Kenya.
“He (Logarusic) has performed amazing wonders with the team, both in the league and in other competitions. Despite being title contenders at the moment, we have won the KPL Top 8 trophy a testimony of how things have changed in the club since his arrival."
Under the Croat the club has gone 18 games unbeaten in all competitions, thirteen of which have been in the league, two in the domestic cup and three in the Top 8 competitions.
K’ogalo are currently second in the Tusker Premier League (TPL) with 43 points, two points behind table leaders and arch rivals AFC Leopards.
The club will be out of league action this week, but faces a potentially explosive derby with perennial rivals AFC Leopards on September 23.
Logarusic who left the country on Monday for a one week holiday in his native country is expected back Monday next week.
