Omino is confident that his charges are ready to derail Ingwe’s quest for a 13th Kenya league title and has cautioned them to expect a tough outing
Western Stima head coach Henry Omino has cautioned table toppers AFC Leopards’ to be prepared for a tough battle when the two sides clash in crucial Kenya league match in Western Kenya on Saturday.
Omino is confident that his charges are ready to derail Ingwe’s quest for a number thirteen premiership title and has warned them to expect a tough outing.
“We need maximum points as much as AFC needs the same and that is why I’m predicting a very exciting match. AFC should also be aware that we are also seeking to avenge for the first leg defeat we suffered against them in Mumias,” Omino told Goal.com Kenya.
Leopards have shifted training to Mumias in preparation for the match that could decide the destiny of the league.
Leopards are still topping the sixteen team table 45 points; two adrift second placed Gor Mahia, whom they meet in a derby on September 23.
Omino said they are fighting for the points as they strive to finish amongst top the eight in the log. “We have our own problems also…we need to finish the league in a respectable position and we have no bargain for that other than collecting maximum points on Saturday.”
