Kenya has moved a place up in the latest World Fifa rankings despite being inactive from international assignments for the last one month.
Kenya are now position 125 from 126 globally as per the latest Fifa rankings released on September 5.
Kenya is ranked 37th in Africa. Kenya is yet to play any meaningful friendly after the cancellation of the Jamaica match that was scheduled for Connecticut, USA in August.
The outcome of the friendly could have not made any impact in position change for Kenya as it was to be played outside the Fifa calender dates.
Tanzania is at position 40 in the continent and 132 globally.
Kenya’s opponents in the World Cup qualifiers Nigeria are tenth in Africa and 58th internationally while other group opponents for the single ticket Malawi is at position 24 continentally and 90 globally and Namibia is at 33 and 115 globally.
There is no change in the top three Worldwide. Spain, Germany and England occupy those positions in that order while Portugal is now 4th after swapping places with Uruguay who remain 5th.
In the CAF region, Ivory Coast remains at the top. Second placed Algeria moved six places up. Ghana is third after moving up by a spot. Neighbors Uganda remains unchanged at position 88 worldwide and 23rd in Africa.
