Kenya coach names four professionals in squad to face Jamaica in friendly match

Stand-in Kenya tactician James Nandwa has drafted into the team four professionals ahead of the international friendly match against Jamaica in USA on August 25.

The foreign based players include goalkeeper Arnold Origi playing for Ulkisa in Norway, defender Brian Mandela plying his trade in South Africa with Sanlam Santos, Celtic midfielder Victor Mugubi Wanyama and captain Dennis Oliech currently wit French Ligue II side AJ Auxerre.

Nandwa told that the pros will join the team directly from their bases. “We have already sought for their releases and we will have them joining the rest in USA.”

“It is a positive thing for us to participate in these Fifa friendly matches because we have to improve our Fifa Rankings as well as give these players exposure.”
