Bayern must repeat Barcelona performances - Ribery

The Frenchman feels that the Bundesliga winners will be tough opposition for Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final if they play as they did against the Blaugrana
Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery believes his side have a great chance of winning the Champions League if they can repeat their performances from the semi-final defeat of Barcelona.

Jupp Heynckes' side thrashed their Spanish opponents 7-0 on aggregate, and the France international believes that a similar display will put them in the best possible position to beat Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

"It's hard every time. But Saturday it will be even harder against Dortmund," he told L'Equipe.

"Let's put it this way. When we reach the level of the quarter-finals against Juventus, or the semis against Barcelona, we have great chances of winning."

Ribery has been one of a number of standout performers for the Bavarians this season and believes that winning silverware with the German giants will give him a good chance of picking up individual awards later in the year.

"You can say that this is my best season. I am happy. If Bayern can win all the trophies, then it is time to look what then can happen for me."

Saturday's final will represent Heynckes' penultimate match in charge at the Allianz Arena and Ribery admitted that he will be missed, but says he is excited about Pep Guardiola's arrival in the summer.

He added: "He will be missed. For him, we all want to win titles. He has delivered a tremendous job, he is a great man, a very great coach.

"I'll get to know a new way of working, completely different from the Heynckes. We are happy that [Guardiola] is coming."
