Let's finish on a high, Evans tells Manchester United team-mates

The Northern Ireland centre-back issues a rallying call demanding a strong end to the Red Devils' campaign following their 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday
Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has told his team-mates to finish the season strongly for the fans after the disappointment of a 1-0 home defeat to Chelsea on Sunday.

The Red Devils succumbed to their fifth loss of the season thanks to Juan Mata's deflected strike three minutes from full-time.

Having sealed the Premier League title in April, United will officially be crowned champions at their match against Swansea City before facing West Brom on the final day and Evans wants six points from the two games to bring home their trophy in style.

"We've had a hectic couple of weeks but Chelsea have been our rivals and we're disappointed not to get three points against them," the centre-back told MUTV after the match. "Maybe they had more intensity in their play because they are pushing for a Champions League spot but it is hard to say. I think they deserved their victory in the end.

"I don't know [why United struggled]; it's hard to put my finger on why we weren't up to our normal standards.

"We will lift the [Premier League] trophy against Swansea, which will be a big day for us and we want to win that game. It's then the last game of the season against West Brom and we want to win that as well.

"We want to win every game and, going into these last two games, I'm sure the lads will be up for it and we want to make sure we put on a good performance for the fans."
