The American goalkeeper has stated his belief that the pair, who have 15 goals this season between them, are two of the best strikers the English elite has to offerTottenham keeper Brad Friedel has heaped praise on Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor, suggesting the pair are two of the best strikers in the Premier League.
Spurs have won seven of the eight matches the two forwards started together last season, while manager Andre Villas-Boas recently reverted from a lone forward system to a formation that accommodates both strikers playing alongside each other.
And Friedel believes that when the two strikers both start, they provide one of the deadliest goalscoring threats in the league.
Friedel told reporters: "When we have played with two up front, Jermain has really thrived on it, as he can save his energy for when he is inside the box. That is when it really matters for us.
"Last season the system we played was slightly different, with Rafael van der Vaart just behind a lone forward, while at the beginning of this year injuries meant we didn't have the chance to play with two up front, especially at home.

"The goal he scored against Panathinaikos was just on-side but he is always right on the edge so defenders have to keep an eye on him."
Defoe’s goal was one of three Spurs put past the Greek side to seal progression to the next round of the Europa League.
Qualification was sealed thanks to contributions from several first-team regulars, with Friedel delighted that Villas-Boas is treating the competition with more respect than previous manager Harry Redknapp.
"Unlike last year, it's clear that the manager wants to win it," Friedel said.
"You can tell that by team selection. Every time we put a very strong team on the pitch and he has not mixed his words at all.
"He wants to try to win the competition. So we are going to take it very seriously."
