TEAM NEWS: Lloris starts for Tottenham as Friedel drops to bench against former club Aston Villa
The France international will make his Premier League debut in an otherwise unchanged team, while Darren Bent continues to be restricted to a place on the visitors' bench
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has handed a first Premier League start to goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for the match against Aston Villa at White Hart Lane.Brad Friedel drops to the bench for the clash against his former club, with his compatriot Brad Guzan starting opposite Lloris for Paul Lambert's team.
Spurs are otherwise unchanged from the side that beat Manchester United at Old Trafford, with Clint Dempsey, who scored the winning goal in that match, supporting Jermain Defoe in attack.
Despite scoring the equaliser against West Brom in Villa's last match, striker Darren Bent has again been consigned to a place on the bench by Lambert.
The former Norwich City boss has elected to stick with the side that started the game at the Hawthorns. Christian Benteke and Gabriel Agbonlahor start up front for the visitors, with youngsters Matthew Lowton, Ciaran Clark and Joe Bennett retaining their places in defence.

Aston Villa starting XI: Guzan; Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Bennett; Albrighton, El Ahmadi, Delph, Holman; Agbonlahor, Benteke. Subs: Given, Bent, N'Zogbia, Lichaj, Bannan, Westwood, Weimann.
