AFC Leopards' will play their return match of Caf Confederations Cup against SuperSport United of South Africa on Sunday at Nyayo Stadium. The match had earlier been scheduled for Saturday.
According to Chief Executive Officer Richard Ekhalie, the club has picked on Sunday so as to allow five of their players, who are in national team Harambee Stars, enough time to train with rest of the squad.
Harambee Stars take on Sudan in Wednesday’s international friendly. The five are goalkeeper Wycliffe Kasaya, James Situma, Jacob Keli, Peter Opiyo and Paul Were.
“We have requested Football Kenya Federation to excuse our five players from national duty but in the event this does not happen then we have set our return match against SuperSport United for Sunday," Ekhalie told Goal.
“This will give our coach enough time to work with the five after arriving from national duty." AFC Leopards' succumbed 0-2 to Supersport in the first leg match played in Pretoria last Saturday.
